I stopped my bidding at $500. I really couldn't afford that with things the way they are right now in my finacial world... but I figured what the hell. I was also pretty sure that the bidding would go much higher than that. I was expecting at least somewhere around a grand. Boy was I wrong!  As it was the "War Department" (my Wife) was really upset when she found out that I had the brass knockers to bid as high as $500! ! ! Hey, ya only live once! ! !

Thanks Murf. . .  Also, if you can, try to find out how much the final bid was. I believe it was $550 and if thats the case (as I've said before) I think thats insultingly low ! ! !

If thats the case, someone got a very good deal. Without the "Pat Mystique" that guitar is worth well over $500.00 so I am now sorry I did not bid Sad I figured it was gonna hit at least a grand or more Cheesy

I've been thinking the same thing! I felt it would go for well over a grand. If this went for $550, which is the way it is looking, it's almost an insult... and whoever the lucky person is that won it got a (IMHO) real steel! ! !

When I last checked, which was around 3:30 this afternoon, The high bid was $550. I belive this was how the auction ended as this bid held all day long.  As far as who the lucky  winner is... I don't believe thats been anounced as of yet.

I hope everyone had a chance to hear Pat on the raidio ths morning. This was part of The Dave and Carole Miracle Marathon for Childrens Hospital. ?As we know Pat's blue guitar is on the auction block with all the money going to help the kids at Childrens.
He sang two songs from World Of Love (Opposites Attract and Gambling Man) and "chit chatted" with Dave and Carole about a wide variety of things from his touring schedule to his plans to franchise out Jools (who was with him in the studio)  as Pat the second when he gets older! ?Lots of fun!!
The high bid on Pats guitar is now $500 which, IMHO, is a steal ! ! !

Yes I've heard of the specials at the shows... and then theres also the "CD Special Of The Month" on the website. Thats one of the main reasons I ordered Pat In Person as it was last months special... and also because I wanted to pick up a live album.
At the last Shank Hall show Pat also ran some "contests" where you had to guess the Beatles guitar solo and the intro to a Beatles song and you won My World Of Love!  Great Fun ! ! !

Hey thanks Nate and AJ for the replies and your imput. ?Nate, I think you may have hit the nail on the head when you said "Just Buy Them All". ?I'm sure that by some point in time I will have... but right now I just can't afford it. Its just gonna have to be a Pat Twelve Step Program... you know; "One Disc At A Time"! ! !
I recieved Pat In Person (which I ordered off the website) last night and I'm really enjoying it!! ?I think my next disc just might be PIP2 as I really enjoy the live stuff! ! !
69  Pat Stuff / Messages to other Patheads / Whats Your Favorite Pat CD... And Why ? on: May 29, 2003, 05:47:32 am
First of all forgive me if this has been beat to death already.
I figured with Pat laying in the sands at Myrtle Beach and the excitement (or lack of) of the Pat Guitar auction winding down. And all of us jonesing for that next Pat Show... I felt this topic might pump some activity and fun into the ol' message board.
Also, still being a relatively new Pathead your answers will help me out in deciding what Pat disc to add to my colection next.
Soooooooo... Whats Your Favorite Pat Disc.... And Why?

And... If Not Whats You Favorite... What Disc Would You Suggest I Pick Up Next ?  I've Got World Of Love And Have Ordered P.I.P.

Thanks For Your Help ! !

That whole thing about "You have to go through Intercourse to get to Paradise thing..." All I have to say is, "Precisely!" ? :-/

sweetepie,
I have always love that line about going through Intercourse to get to Paradise... And you are right when you said... ?"Precisely"!!!
I guess really when you look at the "big picture" the line should be;
"You have to have Bird In Hand to go through Intercourse to get to Paradise... If not, you get Blue Balls! ! !" Cheesy

Let's not forget who the musicians are on that stage.I just make sure the axes are tuned and the glasses are full. This is the best and most talented cover band in Milwaukee. They play straight up with no sequencers.Tell your friends. As for KB,he's just a drunk and he works at it 110% just like his music.I'm glad he's my friend.

Well Said My Good Man ! ! !
