I have never seen his hair so short.  I liked his long, curly locks.  Although, this stylin' do is way more little boy thanpreschooler.  Dang it, he's growing up.  All the kids do it,  *sigh*.

I have pictures of his hair shorter than that ! I will attempt to upload one should I be able to find my archives of the Monkey Sitting days for Julian McCurdy.........  Man! It seems like ages ago......  He's so grown up now.  Undecided

Dennis----that guy ROCKS!!!!!? Super nice guy---and is great to see him every year during Pat! Grin

I just came from Dennis' house (but he wasn't home). He is always lecturing me that I don't visit him enough during the "off-season." Then I do attempt, and he's not there! Geesh!  Dennis is the BOMB! But he knows it.

My prediction, the "Martini Tent" will be a miserable failure and it will not be back next year, much like the "dance clubs" of the past that used to happen on the basketball court.

You can send the fine folks at summerfest a note here. (This was the best link I could find, perhaps someone can do better, specific emails addresses perhaps?)
Or you can log on to their forums and let your voice be heard (requires registration)

I have exact e-mail addresses after being supervisor there for 6 years, but it's best to send comments to the "general" e-mail. You most likely would not get a response from an "exact" e-mail. Plus, with the turn-around this year, people leaving and such, the new-bees will not know much from the past. They will have to be biased in their opinions and suggestions to the patrons, but I don't think they will be of much help. Just keep sending your comments to the general address, it'll get forwarded to the right person. I'm going down there in 2 weeks and can mention something to the production manager if need be (him and I go back a few years), but then again, sometimes it's better to just not get involved and leave things up to the big-wigs!
4  Pat Stuff / Messages to Pat / Re: Theft at Club Paragon on: March 22, 2005, 09:21:11 pm
? Anywho, I get to my car parked in the back of the lot, and my window was shattered and my brand new Alpine stereo was gone!? I seriously had this stereo for 2 weeks.? And the worst part...I didn't add it to my insurance yet.?

Wow! Sorry to hear that Amy! That's not something I'd expect at a Paragon show. I have had my window broken twice in 5 years now (2 different cars). Bowling equipment stolen (about $600 worth), jacket, ice scraper, and CD cases, just to name a few. Yeah, the thieves were smart enough to break into my car and NOT check the 10 disc changer that was in my trunk! Yet they took the bowling equipment from my trunk! So they got a bunch of CD cases with no CD's. However, I would've given anything to have my bowling equipment back!

Although my incident from a month or so ago doesn't compare to yours from Sunday. After bowling on a Thursday night I went out to my car and my 3 "Support Our Troops" magnetic ribbons were gone. One of them was just of an Eagle which I'd never seen before, so I was a bit angry! This was the 2nd time that happened in 3 months--the? first time I was at work. I mean, come on people!!!!! They're $1 or 2 in the store!!!!? Why do you have to ruin something like that? Someone who just wants to show that they are supportive of what people do for our country!!!?
Some people just have no class!

In any case, I hope you got your window replaced! So much for Spring in Wisconsin!!

Because it's a 3 hour drive for a 2 1/2 hour show.? And I'm sick.? BooHoo....why don't you cry about it Kelly.? God, I'm such an old woman.....even more of a reason to drive up for the show to be spontaneous and crazy!?

Kel Kel! You're at least a half a century away from being old. In which case you would get the label Senior Citizen. But, now, you're a mature adult who has experienced much in life, and has thrown underwear at Tom Jones!

And Rockford is MUCH better than DeKalb!!!!
6  Pat Stuff / Review a Show / Re: Fine Line - March 19 on: March 22, 2005, 08:56:37 pm
So whatever happened to Sarah and Laurie going to Fine Line shows? Gals, didn't you use to make the road trip hike with the guys up there?

I used to go once a month (I have friends that live in Woodbury which is just outside St. Paul/MPLS) and rode with the guys a couple times, but that was back when I had a life! I had a social life and more free time. I haven't been to Fine Line in almost 2 years. Now that I'm teaching full-time, working nights part-time, and bowling tournaments every weekend, I barely have time for myself let alone making a trip to the Twin Cities! There was a time when I could see Pat 3-4 times a week! Now I'm lucky if I go 3-4 times in 6 months. It's life though. It's just nice to get to go see him whenever I do now. I still enjoy it like I always did; I just can't enjoy it as frequently! ( I do however take advantage of Summer shows!) I can't speak for Sarah. I'm sure she still makes the trip from time to time, but  you'll have to get it straight from the horses mouth on that one! Sorry.

Suck it up people! Even if you're not off, it's worth it to go. I've missed the last 2 Intimate Pat shows, so I'm going to hope that I win my bowling tournament and make it to the show in time for at least one set. I remember the days when I would drive to Madison on Tuesdays, get back to the Wonderbar with Pat, Pipe, Murf and Sarah, leave at 2 and get up at 5 to either get ready for class, work, or Monkey sitting Julian! My favorite was when Pat would come to the WonderBar and at 1 a.m. ask if I could be there at 7! I loved it! For the love of Pat and his shows (and in my case, Monkey sitting Julian), suck it up and go! So you sacrifice some sleep. I think we're all adult enough to handle it! You'll regret it if you don't!   Roll Eyes

Was your boyfriend at Riversplash?I didn't get to meet him.

No he wasn't. I would've introduced him otherwise. I was with my friend Tony from work. Tony has been with me to quite a few shows. Steve is still a Pat Virgin--I don't know when I'll manage to get him to a show. I was shooting for Shank on the 11th--but he goes out with his friends usually on Friday nights if he doesn't have his son that weekend, so we'll see. If not then, then maybe Summerfest.

And yes, I was way too infatuated/overwhelmed with the Porn Director Mullet dew!! Man, I didn't realize it had been that long since I've seen you murf!!  Kiss

Man, I wish I knew who some of you Madtown peeps were! I was in the front row too, with 3 friends! This was the first show I've been to since January!!! Holy withdrawals! It's nice to have a social life back again! I ALMOST forgot what it was like to be at a festival show! It was more packed than I remember RiverSplash being.  Weather was awesome and the crowd was wild.

The drunk guy in the blue shirt was really annoying! He ran into me and my friends a couple times while walking and he spilled half his beer on the ground by my foot! Geesh!

Chip, sorry about your car!  Cry  At least it's alright.

Murf, I had to rub my fingers through your hair (per Mark and Patty)!!  Wink

And to the security RTM guy who had the Mullett... I hope you enjoyed the show!
13  Pat Stuff / Standing in Line / Re:New Forum on: June 03, 2004, 09:20:19 pm
I think the young people enjoy it when I "Get Down" verbally, don't you?

It is a joy when you "get down" Chip! ! !  Wink Wink Wink Kiss
14  Pat Stuff / Standing in Line / Funny, yet bizarre story.... on: June 02, 2004, 04:15:23 pm
So, I was at my boyfriend's house the other day, and he asked me to run an errand for him. So, as I walked up the block to the Walgreen's (he lives on Kilbourn by Marquette) this guy stops me and says, "Hey, aren't you sweetepie!?!"
Dialogue:

Me: "Uh, it depends who wants to know?"
Him: {chuckle} " You know Pat McCurdy, don't you?"
Me: "Yeah."
Him: "I've seen you at shows before on stage."
Me: "Really, that's cool. I've never seen you though before."
Him: "I keep to myself a lot, but I go see Pat whenever I need to lift my
      spirits."
Me: " That's cool. I go for a lot of reasons. "
Him: "Don't you watch his kid or somthin'?"
Me: "Yeah."
Him: "That has to be so cool watching over Pat McCurdy's kids!"
Me: "Well it's KID, and it's SON, Julian." " But his wife just had another baby,
a son, named Miles. " And yes, it's great watching Julian. I've had a lot of
fun the last year and a half or so watching him grow.
He's a wonderful kid, and it's wonderful having gotten
     to know the McCurdy family."
Him: "Hey, can you do me a favor and show me the Sex and Beer dance?"
Me: [hesitating] "Uhh, right now?"
Him: "Sure, why not?!?
Me: "Well, what exactly do you want to learn? Haven't you been to enough
     shows to know the dance?"
Him: "Well, yeah, but I've never actually gotten up to do it. I have the
ever so famous lead pants!" [chuckle]
Me: [smile] "Well, you must've been to enough to know that Pat says that
            line?!?"
Him: " True. But I don't pay attention to the dancing too much. Just the
       jokes and the singing."
Me: "I see. Well, you should pay attention to it all. That's half the show! I'll
show you, but you have to do it with me then!"
Him: "Not a problem!"

I THEN SHOWED HIM THE DANCE TO SEX AND BEER

Him: "Ok, so it's easier than I thought!"
Me: "Yeah, it's not that difficult.
Him: "I better let you get to where you're going. Thanks for teaching me
      the Sex and Beer dance!"
Me: "Not a problem. Although being as akward as it is,doing sex and
beer on the corner of 11th and Wells, with the absence of the
song, the crowd, and Pat, it's been, well... akward![laugh] But
     fun!"
Him: "Well, it's been nice talking to you, Sweetepie. I'm sure I'll see you
      around at shows this summer."
Me: "Yeah I'll be around, now that I am able to have a semi-social life!"
     [chuckle]
Him: "By the way, my name is James."
Me: "Bye James, nice meeting you too!" And for the record, my real name is
     Laurie!"

Ok, so the dialogue was pretty much that. It was so bizarre!!!! I have to wonder if I'm being stalked sometimes.  Undecided  Just wanted to share that little adventure with you all fine Pat-heads!
15  Pat Stuff / Standing in Line / Re:Happy National Tap Dancing Day on: May 31, 2004, 05:10:49 pm
I would like to wish everyone a Happy National Tap Dancing Day...

Bill "Bojangles" Robinson, a legendary tap pioneer, was born on this day.  Several influential tap performers decided to push for a day designated for tap dancing.  So, on November 1989 congress passed Resolution 131 declaring that May 25th was National Tap Dancing Day.  John Conyers of Michigan said, "By golly, there ought to be a law to make everyone love tap dancing."  I agree.  So, get out of your cube and do a little tap dance for the day.

Tap Dancing Kelly

Wow! That's almost as bad as my knowing the absolute history of bowling!  Wink
