Hey, Pat... Have you submitted your Bush Has Gotta Go song (what is the official title?) to the Bush in 30 Seconds contest from Moveon.org ( http://www.bushin30seconds.org/)? -d

Pat
Please stop ripping on my president. We don't need politics in a pat show. George W. is a great president. Thank god on 911 he was in charge.

Hey mvmickey, if you don't like what Pat has to say, stop going to his shows, and stop coming to his website. I appreciate the fact that Pat can say and do whatever he wants because that is who he is. He doesn't have to tip tow around, especially around politics. I love the fact that he doesn't shy away from the fact that there is need for change. So stop posting stupid posts because you can't handle it.
I call you babe, you call me dude, what kind of party is it??? Whitewater LOVES Pat!!!

Wow. I disagree with both of these posts. He might be "your" president, but he's not Pat's. Politics has been a focal point of Pat's shows for as long as he's been performing. I wouldn't expect it to go away anytime soon. But that doesn't mean you need to go away. There are plenty of other things to keep you entertained throughout the show. Feel free to ignore the parts where Pat points out that your president has spent the last three years serving big business and the obscenely rich at the expense of the vast majority of the American people. He has plenty of songs that don't focus on the 237 times* your president and his 4 senior-most cabinet members made knowingly misleading statements to the American people to garner support for his war. Enjoy the show. * Never let it be said that I don't back up my claims: http://www.house.gov/reform/min/pdfs_108_2/pdfs_inves/pdf_admin_iraq_on_the_record_rep.pdf

Hey Mickey (you're so fine), my advice to you is the same I give someone who is tired of hearing a certain song -- use that time to take a trip to the can or the bar.
Plus, you have two things going for you: "George W" is only about two minutes long, unlike some other of his songs, and once November rolls around, regardless of the outcome, you'll probably never hear it again.

Damn that's a good point. If he could cut the Songs For Young People down to the length of George W. I'd be a happy man.
In the meantime, sarcasm aside, I meant it when I said that you shouldn't go away, fail to express your views because Pat and most of his fans won't agree with you. Voice your dislike for Pat's politics all you want. Just don't expect them to change.
He'll win you back with Imagine a Picture.

Wow. I'm pretty impressed that this didn't turn into a huge political war. Good job, everyone, including Mickey for not letting it get to him. He is our (ALL of us) President for the time being, and although I didn't vote for him, and don't agree with a number of his decisions, and/or thier reasonings, he's our President, in this free country where we all express our views, including Pat, Mickey, Paul.. etc..

Viva la primera enmienda!
...Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
...which goes for Pat, Mickey (you're so fine) and the rest of us!

With that in mind...
RESUME George W. Bush The White House, USA
LAW ENFORCEMENT: I was arrested in Kennebunkport, Maine in 1976 for driving under the influence of alcohol. I pled guilty, paid a fine, and had my driver's license suspended for 30 days. My Texas driving record has been "lost" and is not available. MILITARY: I joined the Texas Air National Guard and went AWOL. I refused to take a drug test or answer any questions about my drug use. By joining the Texas Air National Guard, I was able to avoid combat duty in Vietnam. COLLEGE: I graduated from Yale University with low C average.
PAST WORK EXPERIENCE: I ran for U.S. Congress and lost. I began my career in the oil business in Midland, Texas in 1975. I bought an oil company, but couldn't find any oil in Texas. The company went bankrupt shortly after I sold all my stock.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS GOVERNOR: I changed Texas pollution laws to favor power and oil companies, making Texas the most polluted state in the Union. During my tenure, Houston replaced Los Angeles as the most smog-ridden city in America.
With the help of my brother, the Governor of Florida, and my father's appointments to the Supreme court, I became President after losing by over 500,000 votes.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS PRESIDENT: I invaded and occupied two countries at a continuing cost of over one billion dollars per week. I am the first president in U.S. history to enter office with a criminal record. I spent the U.S. surplus and effectively bankrupted the U.S. Treasury. In my first year in office over 2-million Americans lost their jobs and that trend continues every month. I set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a 12-month period. I appointed more convicted criminals to my administration than any president in U.S. history. I have cut health care benefits for war veterans and support a cut in duty benefits for active duty troops and their families in war time. I have set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously protest me in public venues (15 million people), shattering the record for> protest against any person in the history of mankind. I've broken more international treaties than any president in U.S. history. I am the first president in U.S. history to order an unprovoked, pre-emptive attack and the military occupation of a sovereign nation. I am the first president in U.S. history to have the United Nations remove the U.S. from the Human Rights Commission. I withdrew the U.S. from the World Court of Law. I refused to allow inspectors access to U.S. prisoners of war detainees and thereby have refused to abide by the Geneva Convention. I am the all-time U.S. and world record-holder for receiving the most corporate campaign donations. My largest lifetime campaign contributor, and one of my best friends, Kenneth Lay, presided over the largest corporate bankruptcy fraud in U.S. history. I am the first president in history to have a majority of Europeans (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and security.
I changed the U.S. policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts. I have so far failed to fulfill my pledge to bring Osama Bin Laden to justice. Please consider my experience when voting in 2004

Great points all. Though I'd caution you on blasting him on bin Laden. I don't blame him for not being able to find a guy w/ unlimited resources and nearly unlimited places to hide, any more than I'll give him credit if/when they get him. That's up to the guys on the ground, and as we all know, Bush wouldn't know anything about that.
Stick to the stuff that's actually his fault--there's certainly enough of it--the other stuff clouds the message.

..."I have no problem with freedom of speech"Yes, Mickey, I know... I was alluding to the fact that, luckily, we all have the right to say as we please. Voltaire once said...
"I don't agree with a word you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."Let's all just love one another!!
