Anyone aware of what the story is behind this gig?

I just can't imagine a person from Iowa being any fun....unless they are a motocycle riding doctor who doubles as a kickball champion.

Don't fret, mczosnek.  Someone will provide us with the knowledge we seek.

I shall be patient.

Busted Lift is a cool bar in downtown Dubuque.Pat said it is a good place to play. They also hired Pat to headline at their Irishfest on Sep.17.You should go there if you can.

Sorry Temiken for the delay...

Still recovering from the show and the drive home, and co-workers expecting me to be functioning at more than 10% the day after a Pat show.

Again Pat in the usual dark pin stripe shirt. (where's the neon blue Neil Diamond style or Circle shirts? He must just save those for O'Garas)?

The Busted Lift "concert hall" is a long narrow lime stone walled basement, but I believe from past Irish fests that I've driven by, they set up a tent in the parking lot.

Thursday's show
Ruin my life, Put on this earth, Everytime, That's  me, Getting some, Imagine a picture, Country medly, Toast, Camping w/lesbians, Three little maids, Put your hands in the air (It seems Pat's sons will be going to community college as not a lot of cash was thrown on stage), and Hey patty

Second set
Into each other, Electronic friend, Happy man, Sports & porn, I like you best, Gopher w/ guest vocalist Jenny , I was high, Screw you, Vacation, 80's, Sex and beer

If you guys are comming down for Irishfest,  the Holiday Inn & Julien Inn are walking distance, as well as the Bricktown brewery/restaurant.

If you want to see simultaneous smokers & ice cream cone eaters, the Diamond Joe Casino has an overnight package With the Holiday Inn http://www.diamondjo.com/overnight_stay.html

It seems that The Mother Of All Road Trips is being planned for the September Busted Lift show in scenic Dubuque, Iowa.  Patheads from Chicago, Milwaukee and Madison are already scheming to converge on the unsuspecting town.  SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 17th.  Make hotel reservations, mark it on your calendar, and start saving rolls of quarters for video poker.  THIS ROAD TRIP IS A GO !!!    Cheesy

The last time I was in Iowa, I got locked out of my crash space.  The second last time I was in Iowa, I jellowrestled a guy who looked like Michael Hutchence.

I'm not sure I can go back there.

Temiken..... I am so glad that the knowledge that you were in need of was provided! Where in Iowa is this place? It sounds like quite a fun time is planned. I may have to bring my sack of quarters and travel there for casino fun and Pat, of course. All those irish people, plus Pat heads, add alcohol and many a life may be ruined. It would be worth a trip to witness that.

The idea of a roadtrip is making my panties wet.

Unfortunately, I have a good friend's b-day party that day.

Make sure to give all the Iowa cows a hug for me.

Moo,
