are you F'n kidding me??? This guy is a rod. I'm tempted to write something positive just to see if it changes magically. well his ex-fiance was right, he is kind of a loser. you know i wondered a while back if he was sick of playing before Pat because there were truly only a handful of people at those shows interested in his performance. even funnier was that one of the virgins who came with us walked into ogara's and not a minute later he turns to me and says "this isn't the guy we came to see right?" anybody want to let the people at ogara's know about his ballot box tampering? boy we could really have some fun if a group of us went to his next performance together... (dr evil laugh). sorry its late and my "dark side of the force" is coming out.

Let it be known that all comments about Nathan Anderson (and all user comments throughout this web site) have been unaltered because I, unlike other certain webmasters, am an ethical administrator.  Anyone that is considering hiring Nathan Anderson should take into account that all those positive comments on his web site may not actually be what the authors originally wrote, as evidenced by others in this thread.  Such behavior is extremely unprofessional and caution should be practiced when dealing with such an individual.

Quote From AJ
"this guys is a rod".

I love it!? Great term.

That's amazing that some clown would modify people's posts.

I'm going to go out of my way to say bad things about the guy.? I'm all for us Twin Cities Pat Heads showing up at his next show in full Pat-gear and just heckling the shit out of this arrogant and class-less wannabe.? Instead of singing along with his songs, let's stand right up front and sing Pat songs.? We'll keep it all positive and just be really annoying.

For those of you that don't have any practice being annoying and obnoxious, talk to me, I'm somewhat of an expert in that realm.

Ok... I was able to post on his guestbook.

Here's what I wrote so let's see how quick the modifications are.....pretty quick I see.  Please see my original post and then the modified post.....

Hey Nathan - This is B.S. How often do your administrators change posts? Seriously, you're a fuck and that's all this is to it. Show some respect to those who've been playing longer than you've been alive. I used to not really mind your attempts and entertainment, but now, if you're playing at a place where I'm at, I will go out of my way to let you know that I am there and will show you the same amount of respect as you've chose to show Pat. Good one, dick. You're the man now.

Hey Nathan - You rock man. The show was great on Friday night and I'm looking forward to see you again. I am friends with McCrudy and he thought some of those people were rude while you were doing your thing. Keep up the good work and see you soon.

I could probably meet up for lunch.? The boss man is in Germany so I've got a little more freedom to roam around the city whenever I am so inclined.? Where were you thinking?

What's with all the dates?? I'm quite confused?

(Ok, I'm no longer confused.  I'm just a dumbass who didn't understand that it would be a chance for us to wear Pat McCurdy gear and hear some rockin' tunes from a real musician.)

Wow, you dude's are like so hung up on this one thing. It was just a comment after some rather large woman made a remark stating Nathan Anderson was a Pat McCurdy wanna be. This seemed to enrage him, and I was one of those "3 fans" there that heard Nathan say, "I'm not a Pat McCurdy wanna be, I'm a professional musician and he's a comedian! Two different genre's completely." THAT WAS IT! He ended the show early and stated he would never open for Pat McCurdy again and I can see why. What a waste of time for a bunch of alcoholics! Ya'll just need to chill out. PEACE, there are other things in the world that need our attention, not Nathan Anderson and Pat McCurdy. I've see almost everyone of Nathan's shows and he's always been a great Pat opener...well, to be honest, he's well above Pat now and is being heard around the country. He spends most of his performances DONATING his talents to different charities and benefits. Now, I'm spending too much time on this stupid, immature, grade school banter. Just wanted to share some thoughts. Hasta Luego!

aw c'mon guys this man has a business to run he can't have us posting comments about his character where everybody can see them. Wink so who knows. so when do you say his next show is? mwuuuhhahha... mwuuuhaahaa. someone should post a link to this thread and see what happens.

rick you are probably right about us spending too much time on this topic, and there are more important things in the world, but we all have our hobbies Wink. and although i think it would be somewhat amusing to sabatoge a show, i was joking about that and besides it may mean a couple more bucks in his pocket if i went. (any free shows coming up? Wink)? i can see why he would be upset, but he should be a bit more professional to someone obviously not in a seperate genre but just much more witty, if i want to hear dave mattews and "brown eyed girl" I'll go to my local "Brothers" bar. and maybe you are right, and he'll be a huge star and we will see him on american idol and then find out he was cut because they found out he once did bondage porn flicks when he was in his late teens, stranger things have happened. bottom line is, he(or someone that works for him) is changing posts so that people only view him in a certain light - sounds like some sort of politician. either way all of us "alcoholics" will still be having a merry old time enjoying the stylings on Pat McCurdy

I won?t personally insult any of you, but I do want to respond to your fun little bulletin board cult here because I feel bad that it is tormenting you    For the record, that night, in addition to the general rudeness of the crowd, Nathan had some fat lady and a group in front yelling things like ?Pat wannabe!?  He was amp?d, but he had intended those comments to them.  He hates these kinds of gigs, but he does this for a living and has a family to feed (any of you have kids?) so he played it anyway.  Unless you all know what it?s like to be a musician up on a stage trying to put on your happy face, it?s hard to say how you yourself would react.  By the looks of it and the vibe of hate that most of you seem to portray, I don?t think you would handle it any better.  When people disrespect something you take seriously, it?s not cool.  Although, the truth of the matter is that I don?t think you can expect much from a crowd of people like you all.

Nathan has awesome shows.  He has an awesome fan base.  He has unbelievable talent. He sings from his heart and works extremely hard, which is why he is so successful.  He does mostly charity work and benefits now, as bar scenes like this are redundant and somewhat intolerable, kind of like this one.  If you didn?t see many of his fans there it?s because his fans are different than Pat?s.  If they want to enjoy real music, they will attend a live show of Nathan?s in his own element.    Not somewhere like this.   Not as an opener at a drunkfest of sweaty slobbery wasted people.  Pat himself would probably agree that those people are his die hard fans.  Look at the show itself, that?s what he writes about, sings about, and is known for.  That?s Pat?s draw.  It?s not Nate?s draw.   There should be no further offense to Pat?s integrity.  He has had his own kind of success. Thumbs up.  It?s just not a good match, this is evident.   I started laughing when you all were so stressed about Nate ?ever opening for him again.?  Funny that you think he would consider it.  Here, I?ll let you all in on something? a lot of musicians accept and play gigs j u s t f o r t h e m o n e y.  Sssshhh..that?s a secret.

It?s common sense guys .  Though it may have come off harshly because of what was happening, I know that he did not mean to take a bash at Pat.  How do I know this?  It?s not in his character.  He is a God fearing, faithful, considerate man.  But he definitely does take his profession seriously therefore, the frustration may have gotten the best of him.  Understandable?  Stop wasting your time and mustering up such remorse over this.  There is too much real pain in the world right now?why spread hate?

Just some insight:  Keep in mind while you spend hours writing these lame messages to each other that if you are writing entries in his guestbook that are unacceptable or disrespectful?.he?s gonna change them, he may even block you.  Duh.
Mark, you yourself are an administrator.  Take a look again at your statement on the register page.  It mentions the power to edit or delete unacceptable messages.  Hey, you may even delete this message.  As a professional musician do you honestly think Nate is going to leave that crap on there? Come on Mark.  Instead he turned them positive.  Not negative or full of insults. It?s pretty funny actually.
But go on with your warnings?cause this is very serious?.

Well it?s been fun.  What loyal fans you all are!  Reminds me of highschool.   Kinda fun to waste some time with this drama.  But, try not to get yourselves too worked up and go do something nice for someone. Peace.

True, it is in the registration agreement.  And yet, I've almost never had to fall back on it.  The only time I can actually recall modifying someone post is when it contained a graphic image of someone throwing up.  I changed it to a link to the image with a warning that it was pretty gross.  If someone chose to see it, they had that option.  I merely made it safe for work; I did not change the INTENT of the post.  That's the problem I have.  Were Nathan to have a problem with something I posted in his guestbook, I would prefer the entire post be deleted instead of my words being flipped.

Also, you'll find several not-so-positive comments about Pat on this forum.  None of them have been altered or deleted.  You will find, however, they all have dozens of follow-up posts that attempt to show the original poster the error of their ways.

I'm glad to hear Nathan is "God fearing" because that automatically makes him more respectful in my book. ?He's "Above Pat", eh? ?Most impressive considering he's still below G.B. Leighton and other Twin Cities regulars.

Whomever called Nathan a "pat wannabe" was wrong. ?That much should have been obvious to anyone listening.  As I mentioned on his site, I actually don't mind his music and I think is a nice contrast to Pat.  He's a lyrical artist and that's something I respect.  ?I guess I was unaware that someone from "our side" started our childish war of words, but in any event, I consider "them" coming to our board to post is a victory for us in the sense that they are more or less saying "stop". ?

A.J. makes some good points about if there was a heckler, either ignoring her or turning it on her would have been the right move; not trying to insult Pat.

Also, what's this stuff about us Pat fans being sweaty alcoholics?

Whatever?! ?That really angers me.

I never sweat.
