So as many of you (well you in Minnesota) know...I met Nick at a Pat show...last may and it's been match made in Pat Heavan ever since.
I SUPPOSE I should explain what Nick is doing in a hawaiian shirt while proposing to me:
First: We had an ongoing joke (that he started mind you!) that he would propose to me before he bought himself a new car - because his current car has a broken air conditioning unit, he turned the joke into "before air conditioning season" when he must replace his car.
Saturday evening was a huge "Trivia Contest" Fundraiser event for the nonprofit I'm invoved with. I was working at the trivia contest, and nick was hanging out watching having a good time. There were at least I'd say 100 people there. He left and I noticed but figured he went out for fresh air. When he came back in the room 15 minutes later he was in a suit, and had set this up with the M.C.
He went to the front of the room and dragged me with him (and I guess by this time I knew what was going on).
He made a big speech explaining all of this while taking off his suit,. which was freaking me out and when I realized he was wearing a hawaiian outfit underneath, his catch phrase was "I can't wait for Air Conditioning season, Will you marry me"
And of course I said yes!
And if you wanted to know - that's the story of the hawaiian outfit!
There are more pictures out there as lots of my friends had cameras at the trivia contest and were taking pictures - yay!
There's also a video too - not that nick planned this part - it just happened.
Anyway that's my story - and NO there is no date set - (but prob Summer of 07).
