We had a big Iowa City hoopla for the kid complete with cow baloons and chicken tooters (hey, you live in Iowa long enough and everythng has a farm theme)! 

We are reaching big milestones these days... many new words... and yes, the kid can say guitar but he still can't say mama. I'm crushed. 

BIG, BIG, BIG news on our end.... we are picking up stakes and heading westward!

We are moving to Portland, Oregon the first week of August...

Mark got a great teaching gig at Reed College and I will be working at the Oregon Health and Sciences University.

Baby Part Deux will be a west coaster, since s/he isn't arriving until October.

Life sure is crazy sometimes...

Actually, if these people are big enough Pat fans that they'd book you guys for their wedding... mark and I should meet them, we'd probably get along.
