There were a bunch of Pat virgins at the show tonight.  I have watched over 30 shows from Pat and I have never seen him mail a show in like he did this evening.  Aparently if the crowd doesn't love Pat he will play a bunch of songs that most of us have never heard.  That being said, I brought a friend who had never seen Pat and she loved it.  That being said, it was obvious he wasn't even trying tonight and it was very disapointing.

There was a time when no one had ever heard Sex & Beer.  Those big hits that the sweaty thronging masses clamor for have to start somewhere.

Didn't seem like it to me. If adding songs like How to the set list seems bad to you,I can't help you out. It was sort of like an Intimate Pat show. The regulars were raving about hearing some of the oldies.Pat also played 15 minutes longer than any show I have attended in several years, and really seemed to be enjoying himself. He tends to play some older stuff because Bernie was his drummer many years ago and knows most of the songs.

30 shows and you still clamor for the same old show?  Time to broaden your Pat-horizons, my friend!

And, as always, stay thirsty my friends.

Hey there Zaayz -

As Bill Clinton once said, "I can feel your pain".
I can understand how this wouldn't have been the ideal show for virgins, but for Pat-whores, like myself, it was utter bliss.

You can see in this thread that I was very much excited about the show and raved!

Honestly, hopefully they won't be too turned off and can come back in November.
I did see a fair amount of people smiling throughout the show so it couldn't have been that grueling, right?

I think Pat really did cater to the smaller than normal crowd by playing some rarities (and like Murf said, some older ones that he had with Bernie).
Also, to Murf's point, I think he did play for a longer than normal time.

I even bought CDs for two new virgins that night claiming it was one of the best events they've ever seen.
Seriously.

Give it another shot next month and if you're still not happy, let's get together and beat ths crap out of Pat with large, balloon dogs made from a celebrity clown.

Deal?

Been busy . . didn't have time to check until now . .  loved the show. It was my birthday and it was great. Brought some virgins and they loved it! It's great when the audience is packed, but I almost prefer the smaller crowds. More room for dancing!!! I hope that it will be similar this Friday!

I hope this Friday is good too, I'm sure it will be as it always is! I'm bringing about 15 Pat virgins for my "non-bachelor party" party.
