WOW. What a show!! This was my first Shank Hall show. I came with 2 other friends and it was there first time at Shank as well. The atomosphere is great. It's a very nice place. Drink prices are sort of steep however, but I guess you either learn to deal with it, or just don't drink!

I enjoyed the show very much. As did everyone else I presume. There were many songs that I'd never heard before, which I guess comes along with being new to the whole Pat McCurdy guru thing.  Wink

I think I picked a perfect night to go, because I was able to see Laurie sing again!  Grin  (My friend that thinks she's cute however isn't 21 and couldn't make it) Good Job, Laurie!! Always nice. I've seen Laurie and Sara both sing twice now.
Talk about two awesome babes!  The difference in the way the two of them sing is what makes it so great I think. (The pitch and the tone)

The only bad thing about the whole night was sitting relatively close to those 2 obnoxious guys that were so hammered they could barely stand!! Man, I know those of you who were there saw them make fools up on stage, but did you see them at their table?? Gosh!! It was getting really annoying!

Overall, quite an exciting night. Shank Hall will be a new place to see Pat now.

Welcome to Shank Hall...Home of performers, no re-entry and high drink prices.

Hwy 100 & Beloit Rd...right across the street from Stein's Gardens and Gifts and next to the aquarium store. ?Shows start at 8, but get there about 6:30-7:00, eat, be merry, and wait for the show.

I live in Goofytown, with these two idiots....
The best part was when Pipe repeatedly yelled at them through the monitor to "Get Off The Stage!!!"
Paul Jones, where are you when we need you?

A bit off topic, I know what you mean about drunken idiots. I was at the Paul McCartney show last night and right behind us were some of the most obnoxious, drunken college kids I've ever had the displeasure of sitting near. First of all, they wouldn't shut up, second, they couldn't sing ( imagine being trapped at a really bad karaoke bar, where they screech the words rather than sing them) and third, by the end, they were so drunk that they were spilling beer on us, not even realizing it.
What made it even worse is that I think these were BY FAR the WORST people in the entire arena. After repeatedly being told to enjoy a nice warm cup of STFU, they got downright beligerant.
I must be cursed or something, because I always seem to be near these types of people at concerts.
(Pat Shows excluded, of course. Everyone's a drunken idiot there ?Grin)

Anyways, after much torture, Laurie decided that she had had enough beer spilled on her and got security, who escorted the whole bunch out to much applause by the surrounding fans. Some lady was so grateful she even gave Laurie $5 after the show to buy herself a drink.?

I never thought I'd say this...
Laurie Hett, you're my hero!

Sorry if this turned into a semi-review of the McCartney show, I just had to vent about drunken idiots at concerts.

I heard of this incident third party from a few of my friends who were directly above you. I also give Kudos to Laurie Hett for taking charge, and getting the job that had to be done acomplished.  Wink It only takes one person who is willing to say "I Can", to make shit happen!

TommyBoy-many thanks again for liking one of my not so great talents!!  But you seem to not be the only one who likes it when I actually do sing certain things. I've gotten many props the last few Pat shows, as well as KARAOKE nights--which almost never happen!!! But singing is not once of my better talents--infact it's not a talent at all of mine!! Just something that I do once in a while. However alone, I'm ALWAYS singing!!!
However--I may not be the greatest, but I think I'm better than a few others I've heard!!  Some just have NO CLUE AT ALL!!

Ah yes, the pitch and tone of Sarita and I. Very different if I do say so myself. Sarah has a more "sexy" tone so to speak. She's more mellow and sweet toned!!   Wink
I'm not mild toned, or "sexy" sounding--not all the time anyway-- I'm more "uppity" ?? More emphatic? (More emphasis, louder) I don't know, it's hard to explain. Guess you'll have to hear both of us in order to differenciate!!

Actually the "sexy" thing is good I think, since the song is about Masturbation afterall!!!   Wink
But most of the time I make it a point to stress that you "don't need a penis to be one sexed up BITCH!!"   Grin

Thanks T-Boy! And to all the others!

Ok, umm, yeah Chip basically said it all!! Not once did I get bear spilled on me, but twice in 30 minutes. So did the woman next to me. And after I was called the "C" word, twice and heard enough screaching, arguing and gabbing, I said ," #@*% THIS!!" ?I just wish I had done it sooner!!!! ?I didn't pay $100 for nosebleed seats, or any seats for that matter to have to listen to the crap any of us put up with last night!!!

I will never be able to listen to Black Bird the same again!!

Best part--the guy got arrested and his groupies, including his MOTHER!! (Yes she was there) all went with him to the cop shop. As they were all escorted out by like 7 security people, we all sang, "Na na na na, na na na na, Hey Hey Hey, Good Bye!" (Which just happened to be the song Paul was playing at that time!!) It was so cool!!

Now, since I had to miss some of the show getting security and arguing with them and trying to ignore the beer smell all over my body, I'm going to contact my "hook-up." Yes, the Hook up queen herself has hook-ups too!! ?(Which is how I got front row to CHER). I know people, who know people, who know people, so I WILL BE GETTING Paul McCartney stuff in the near future for myself, Chip and Sarah and Sarah's dad, to compensate. If I knew who the other people were, then I'd try to get things for them too.

Murf tells us that the YIPES members were there last night too!! ?I thought that was awesome!!!

Oh did I mention that after the show Sarah, myself and her dad with 11 other people all got stuck in an elevator for 25 minutes?? ?Where was Chip you say? Why he took the stairs to the 8th floor!!  911 and the fire department were called.

Needless to say, twas quite and eventful evening!
