Good show, A lot of old songs, excellent participation on TV ruined my life, and then something which I can only describe as "Free-Form-Pat-Medley" Very cool. Paul, Do I win a prize?

Dang, And I thought I would be first to review this.... Well, Chip is right, this was even more awesome than the Intimate Pat at Shank a few weeks back. In fact, we are going to have to call this "Intimate Pat but better" lots of old songs, the Television medely and audience participation was the S*&^t (if you missed this you may never see it again I pity you) and the Drive in reverse medely ummm hmmm! http://wwww. imspecial.com (don't try this link at home), Just too much of a show for words... My thank you's go out to Jessica for the attempt to get a Titanic ritual (hey We tried our best, but I guess the lesson is never inturupt Hey Paddy and the Lap songs), Jessica's freind at the pool table (who wouldn't sing the TV themes but made the night fun) and Paul for being himself. What more can I say, see you guys at the next show and perhaps you will recognize me this time even without the Cam Corder in my hand Brian [Edited by briguy (04-29-2001 at 11:39 PM).] [Edited by briguy (04-29-2001 at 11:40 PM).]

This was a very good show. Great song selection. And No Sex & Beer. I wonder if he's trying to see if he can get away with not playing it. He did Groovy Thing at the end of the first set and then I Don't wanna go home and Knock things over to end the show. Although the first thing I heard someone say after he finished was: No Sex & Beer tonight?
Here's my 2 cents on some of the other comments about the show. Well, Chip is right, this was even more awesome than the Intimate Pat at Shank a few weeks back...
I can't agree with you on this one. This was a very good show, but in a different way. And "better" than Intimate Pat? Not in my book. ... audience participation was the S*&^t...
I actually thought the audience participation was pretty good this show. Pat did have troubles getting people to dance. But the energy and enthusiasm of the night was very high. That first set especially. The people really seemed to be responding to Pat and he was just taking it in and doing some funny stuff. ... and the Drive in reverse medely ...
I'm having trouble remembering what all he did with this. The drive in reverse Medely was very good. Did he do another medely or was it all part of the Drive in Reverse thing? Anyways, I was pumped to hear him play the little bit of Mr. and Mrs. Money. I was hoping he would do the line: Green is their favorite color. White is their favorite line.. <snif> But alas, he didn't.

I would also have to disagree. A true Intimate Pat show means no "popular" songs, all obscure and rarely heard songs; kinda like the old Wednesday night shows. It was good to see Pat again after being away for a while though.

Yes, but I don't think you're going to like it. quote: My thank you's go out to Jessica for the attempt to get a Titanic ritual (hey We tried our best, but I guess the lesson is never inturupt Hey Paddy and the Lap songs), Jessica's freind at the pool table (who wouldn't sing the TV themes but made the night fun) and Paul for being himself.
That's got to be a first.

That's Ok, if it's too creepy, I'll just pass it on to Rabbit. [Edited by Chip (04-30-2001 at 12:03 PM).]

I'm sure she'd appreciate that, but I think both her and Trisha are all stocked up on Creepy. Maybe it's Aphrodite's turn. Just me being me.

Ahhh, but look what we heard here. I don't listen, Antiques, no Sex And Beer, Southeren Song,I'll Crawl Back To You Again, 20 million bucks (new), Ain't life Grand, Tough Life, Telivision Ruined My Life, and my fav... You Must Trust Someone... now thats not usual Pat and I was at the last Carroll College show and believe me none of those were even hinted at. In fact, at the Intimate Shank show Pat played more well known songs than he played last night. Just my opinion though... look through the set lists and I think that speaks for itself...

I agree, Pat did play some not often heard songs. But the thing that's different is that at Intimate Pat he can play all of his ballads and more serious songs. The song selection for this show was more obscure, but were still his more upbeat and catchy songs. These are songs that he could probably play at any show. Just so long as he played screw you as well. If he played She stood up at a normal show, most of the crowd would be confused and start screaming for Sex & Beer. So that's where I see the difference between last nights show and Intimate Pat. I'm not saying this was a bad song set. It was great! It was nice to have a break from the way overplayed set of Screw You, Imagine a Picture, and Sex & Beer in which none of these were played. If you looked at the set lists each of these appear in at least 95% of the shows in the past couple years.

If he played She stood up at a normal show, most of the crowd would be confused and start screaming for Sex & Beer. Agreed. She stood up is too good a song for a common crowd... It was nice to have a break from the way overplayed set of Screw You, Imagine a Picture, and Sex & Beer in which none of these were played. If you looked at the set lists each of these appear in at least 95% of the shows in the past couple years.[/QUOTE] True but whats nice is us true fans can use the bathroom break during these songs. A true fan knows when "Screw You" I was High" or even "Imagine a Picture And Jesus" gets played Pat is giving you an oportunity to drain the beer out so you don't miss the good songs

Any show that has Wonderland of Love and a Yipes! song is truly an Intimate Pat show that can't be beat. Don't make me raise C'thulhu and start nattering on about the Old Days, when Intimate Pat was really intimate.

According to Beetlejuice: quote: A true fan knows when "Screw You" I was High" or even "Imagine a Picture And Jesus" gets played Pat is giving you an oportunity to drain the beer out so you don't miss the good songs
Uh......yeah. He likes that. That's why he plays those songs. Some of the funniest bits I've ever seen have occured in the middle of Imagine a Picture or Hey Paddy.

Quote Marky Mark: quote: Don't make me raise C'thulhu ..
I think I would pay to see that... Just think of the trauma C'thulhu would cause where you work. You could set him lose on Billy

Am I just an idiot or just not enough of a ner to know what this C'thulhu thing is? I've been told too many times that I'm not a real nerd. I don't watch Star Trek, I don't visit CompUSA on a regular basis, etc... Is this another one to add to the list?

Witnessing from the sidelines is just about how much I want to get involved, thank you very much. I'm actually content without that drama. Can you believe that one, Paul? And all I have to say about last night's show, be it Intimate-esque or not, it was great.
