Official, Homebrewed, or other?

This is almost as hard to decide on as favorite song.  Of the Offical CDs, I'd have to say my favorite is Sound of Music.

Homebrewed it'd be Intimate Pat (which I've only heard twice, I've gotta pick that one up one of these days.) But with songs like 15 Empty Glasses, Lookin at Chyx, and Second Honeymoon you can't go wrong.

Other CDs? I like the one I've got in right now too.  It's a car mix I just did which has some of his unreleased and newer songs. (Started out with a Bang, Sittin on a Hill, Can't Stop Messin, etc.)

I just got a copy of Intimate Pat myself and am really enjoying it.  I have the honor of working with Mark so I asked him and he had it waiting for me at my computer the next day.

Did I ever mention that Mark is da' Man?

I'd have to say Intimate Pat is my favorite right now because it's the newest one I have and I haven't heard most of the song too much yet.

Bill, people are going to think I'm your boss and you're bucking for a raise.

Not that I would ever give you one, since as I write this, you are in Tim's cube (right next to mine) talking loud.

Then again, it's not like I'm doing anything really important right now.

Sure you are.  You're talking in the BB.  That's something pretty important.

Well this is bound to change once he puts out the next two cd's...but I just finished my regular Pat release cd collection, and "Sound of Music" is my new favorite. And to be honest I like the studio albums better than the live..
because the only way to really experiece Pat live is to go see Pat live. If you want to hear great cd music from Pat grab the studio albums...plus the new one which Pat told me himself will be out on Sept. 22nd.

I have heard that "Intimate Pat" is also great on the HomeBrewed front...so I will be picking that one up soon. Someone at the Retreat show...Marie from Sweden...said the sound is a little
choppy, but I reminded her..."it's home-brewed....!!!" But she was blonde and swedish...so may have been lost on her....?

        Later all,
        Rob

Whenever I hear comments like this, I'm torn between my strive for perfection and raging apathy.  (Yes, I am both; don't ask me how.)  There's the part of me that wants to make these things as perfect as possible, since it's Pat's name on these things, not mine.  In the long run, that's just raised everyone's expectations.  People forget that, ultimately, these are bootlegs.  Maybe I should stop calling them "Homebrewed."

I can tell you that they're about as good as they're going to get.  I've already sunk enough money into this whole Pat thing over the years.  I don't foresee the purchase of a multi-track recorder or color laser printer any time soon.  I certainly wouldn't turn down any gifts from generous benifactors, however.

I will admit that Home For The Holidays doesn't sound that great compaired to the other ones, however.  That's the main reason that one's being discontinued.

It wasn't directed to you.  It was just some assorted moaning and groaning.  No matter how cool I make those CDs or this web site, there will always be someone who finds something to nit-pick.  I've dealt with it for years and learned not to let it get to me.  I just occasionally enjoy venting.  Whee!

Now now, don't make me defent Marie's honor here. =)  I will you know.  And I can take you too. =P

Because you're a computer geek?  The perfection part comes from having to be perfect in programming them or "Something Bad Happens." And the Apathy comes from anyone who's had to ever deal with someone else's computer problems. =)

Most computer geeks fill one if not (and most often) both of these criteria.

My favorite CD has to be Pat in Person Vol II with all those great songs you never hear like Sex & Beer.  <Whap self>  Sorry, I think I had a brain tumor for breakfast.

Seriously, I'd have to say my favorite "official" Pat CD would have to be Good Life/Memorial Day.  Homebrewed would be Intimate Pat.

Mark, I think you do a great job with both the CD's and on the Website, keep it up, some of us out there appreciate all the hard work you do.

Mark, a lot of us out here appreciate more than we can ever show you all your work for the betterment, indulgence, and overall Pat addiction therapy which you provide us...
THANK YOU!

Also thank you for your comment on the quality of Home for the Holidays.  It was my first home-brewed purchase...got it on sale just to see what the home-brewed quality was like...I wasn't thrilled but no big deal, I just figured I wouldn't order anymore of them.  Now I'll have to go ahead and order Intimate Pat.

Thank you, Thank you

And to be brutally honest, you're not my type either.  However, if the mood were to strike me, you couldn't stop me. =)

Ahh, so you're high maintenance?

Not really something you'd want to advertise.  It's better to let the prospective SO's find that out gradually.

Now now Greg,

           Let's not get fresh!
Now by the postings here I am trying to piece together which one you were at the Retreat. I have centered in on the guy
with the radio-frequency t-shirt. This was a bit more discret than my ensemble, but I promised Amy a drink (which I made good on ). So I wore my "Dorky Virgin Patrol" t-shirt to make my presence known (my friend Eric screaming "hey Pat
Nookie Patrol is here!" helped). If you all make it out for the Shank show on the 8th I got your first pitcher.I not a huge jerk...just a "Thankless Bastard"
from time to time.

As far a me being high maintence. Well at times maybe, but when dating my girls are spoiled..sometimes to much. And I will have my own "blonde moment" ...what
exactly are SO's. Since we take pleasure in needling each other Greg...I will assume for now that has some homosexual
tones...Huh? New to me.

One thing though about all of the regular front row dwellers at the retreat. You were all very cool, polite, and friendly to the 2 visiting Milwaukeeans...for that thanks!!
You watched our seats, bought us shots(thanks BOB ), and let us use your Cellphone (well Eric did ...thanks Amy).
And if I see you all at a Shank show I promise to extend the same kindness!!
