So, my obsession is starting to affect my job.  I am sitting in a frustrating meeting with my colleagues and I have "Goofy Town" running through my head....not very conducive to team building.  I also work in an elementary school, so singing "big porno hair" under my breath is a bad idea as well.  Keeps me smiling though!

I know exactly how you feel!  I am a teacher too and I caught myself during Pat's Sumerfest show thinking: Oh No!  I just gave Pat the finger (I paid $11.00 cover charge.....) What if one of my little Kindergarten students saw me! :-/.  Teaching does have its little problems. You never know where they will see you outside of school,  but that has never kept me from a Pat outing!

Never stopped me before either!! Although I'm still a teacher in the making I guess you could say.  But I have sang Sex and Beer on my way to class with the youngins (in my head)....as well as I'm Okay, amongst many others!  

Jules and I dance to some of the songs when I babysit. I just sing them and he starts dancing!!  Funniest was when he handed me the guitar, and he picked up his "mini" guitar and started dancing!!!  CLASSIC!!

But yeah, Pat has that affect on one as far as either doing the dances while alone in public, singing songs wherever you are, or both!!

This is sort of off the topic of Pat and all, but with mentioning what teachers do on the weekends and outside of the classroom, it's amazing!!!! ?I've seen my share of fellow teachers that I've either had growing up, or that I work with at the bar, at a Pat show, or dancing provocatively after a few drinks. ?
I say,"So this is what teachers do outside the classroom!"

One of the funniest was last year in December I was in Madison at Brothers with Merch Mike, Tap Dance Kel, Murf, Greg, and a few others, and I see these two guys that look really familiar. I thought a minute and realized that one was my Trig teacher from highschool, and the other was an Algebra teacher from my highschool. I went up to them and they cheered me with a beer and go ,"WOW, Laurie Hett! Long time no see!" ?I go "What the HELL are you guys doing in Madison!?!" ?They asked me the same thing and I said I had friends that lived there, and they said they went to the Badger game across the street and then came to Brothers for a few drinks. I said, "So this is what teachers do outside of the classroom!?!" ?And we all laughed--and they reminded me that I'm going to be a teacher too!! ?

I have had a similar experience in Sheboygan. ?I have been at a show and my old teachers from high school were there and they were like,

I think they have a bunch of frickin IDIOTS working the School of ED at the University. They just informed us today that our fall semester will consist of 20 credits, for some 23 credits, PLUS 2 days of student teaching!!!!!!!  I've been in school for 5 years, I just want to get done!      At this rate, I'll never be going to grad school!!

Oh and I forgot the 6 weeks of Summer School for $1200
M-Thursday from 8:30-11:15..........Or even the option of 4:30-7:10. (June 23rd - August 2nd)

Try $2700 for a summer research project.  I get to walk in June, but I'm not done officially until August.  At least your school doesn't hold your financial aid check for 4 weeks after the term starts just in case you may drop the classes.  Just think...all this crap could be yours for a mere $17,000 at Aurora University.

I'm really glad I was too stupid to get into college.Sounds like a real drag.Good thing this country has the teamsters to help hard working people make a decent living.Also,all the teachers I know drink themselves to the puking stage just like the rest of us.
