(Moss84)  Thanks for the interesting points everyone.  Sorry I couldn't get back until now, I was basking in the glory of the my team beating the Chiefs.  I may retire from the fineline scene (I'm sure I won't be missed) but maybe I'll take the trip one of these days to Millwaukee (which is native american for "the good land" -Alice Cooper, Wayne's World).  It sounds like a more enjoyable show for me.  As for you Lippert, I'll keep my eye out for you when I'm down there.
AJ, those girls I saw were weird looking, really weird looking.
Hey, I'm baking Christmas cookies today!  What's everyone's favorite?  Lippert do you like chocalute chip?

"Chocalute"?  I fear this thing you call chocalute.

Unless it's a chocolate-covered lute.  Who doesn't enjoy a sweet, sweet medieval stringed instrument?   Mmmm...stringed instrument.

Hi all,

I would like to agree and echo the comments of all the pat heads.

as for the viking's fan i can only say this:
- i have not gone to milwaukee, but after seeing pat every tues at the regent, most weds at the club, traveling to Appleton and seeing him at 3 private shows, i can say that no show is alike. Even in Appleton, where most of the "normal" songs are played during the  frist half, pat, even though he was sick and hoarse, played all requests the second... At a show that was barely attended at the Club Tavern, he did not stick to the usuals, he again played our requests.
- PAT is worth seeing at differnt venues.. it makes you appreciate what he does, who the fans are and what it takes to win over new fans... I can understand why a lot of the normal stuff may seem boring to you, but even the normal stuff has little twists in it here and there... also, do not not be afraid to download the "song of the week" and request it at a show.. normally pat will fit it in.
-lastly, no one licks, sucks, or kisses pat's ass... we just like how he makes us feel after a show (and i have been to some where i have not even drank!) he makes us feel good, and makes us smile... that is why i am looking forward to seeing him new years eve, since i just had hernia surgery and am in a butt load of discomfort....

dude, thanks for your opinion, but try to think through it and get more information on somehting before you just piss off some very nice and kind hearted people.. .think about, he must do something right and make a lot of people happy if he can be booked +330 days and year and do some days with 2 shows in one day!

i am out..

Hey, who do you think you giffy?  Where do you get off telling me I need to think about what I'm posting.  Again, I'm entitled to my opinion!  Why don't you think about what your posting Mr. Hernia!  I don't get hernias, I give em'.
Of course people don't actually lick Pat's ass, it a figure of speech.  We all know Pat dose alot of shows, what I was saying is the bulk of the songs are the same, yes he plays one or 2 different in MN.  But we've already decided that I'm going to Millwaukee for a show.  Lippert and Briguy are going to meet me there when I'm ready.  You're a little late Mr. Insitefull!

Hmmm I was not aware of this planned meeting, I do always enjoy exposure and attention here on the BBS though  Wink

And I might add with all the conversations in person Lippert and myself have had we could fill an empty book with a whole lotta empty pages, I am pretty sure Mark would agree?

hi again,

dude.. chill out... you must have something stuck up your "you-know-what" to be so snide and snippy when someone else voices their own opinion about what you said.

kinda odd that you sit there and attack me for attacking what you said becuase you feel that you are entitled to your own opinion yet when someone else voices discontent with what you say you have attack them and what they said...NICE JOB!

anyway, i did not tell you that you could not have or voice an opinion, i just told you that you should think it through and get more information before you do... now, if you have thought it through and you still maintain a very narrow minded opinion, then great, more power to you, that was all i was saying..

I think that it is good that you plan on attending a milwaukee show, or hell come to madison sometime... I did not miss it, i was just further elaborating on it....

Anyway, I hope that you do find a pat show that meets your needs and allows you to feel the same way about going to his show as the way that most pat heads feel - GREAT!

take care,
g

ps.  thanks for the personal attack on my health situation, you are indeed a very polite and caring individual... do you even know what a hernia is.. because if you did you would also know that you can not "give" one... just wondering

peace.

I agree with this post.

And Moss/Culpepper, I don't have a problem with you posting here even though your opinion seems to be in the vast minority.  However, I will ask you to ease up on the personal attacks.  You voice your opinions, others voice their opinions and we all happily tolerate each other just like a Real Live Democracy.  Or else.

I agree also.  Giffy, please stop trying to provke me.  Lippert, I tried making those cookies you wanted, but I had trouble making them look like a "lute".  To be honest, I've never heard of cookie like that but they should still be good.  See ya on new years!  -Moss84

hey all again...

"can't we all just get along?"

just so you know moss/culpepper, I was not trying to provoke you, honest.. I was just trying to voice an opinion about how i feel.

i will make it obvious if i ever decided to stoop low enough to provoke or insult someone.

I am sorry if i came across to harsh.

I look forward to seeing  you at one of the shows...I will buy you a beer or a drink or something..

Merry Christmas!

Happy holidays, y'all. All the best this season has to offer to everyone.

Hope the recovery from hernia surgery goes well; was there almost 2 years ago. That was not something I would wish upon anyone.

Let's all be kind for a few days in honor of the season .....or at least until Sunday Lips Sealed . Maybe see yous on NYE.

Wow, Moss/Culpepper your a very anger sounding guy.  I agree the Fineline shows can be somewhat repetitive.  But once in a while he play somthing like One Night in Dreamland and it's all worth the Sex and Beer and Knock things over.  The good thing is, you can get to the bathroom alot quicker between sets if you leave during knock things over and you can get to the coat check and grab your coat during Sex and Beer.  That way you won't miss any of the rare intimate songs.
Calling someone Mr Hernia is silly, that's like calling someone Mr Heart Attack after they had a hart attack.
Giffy, I think you could "give" someone a hernia if you were forcing them to pick you up and carry you.
Moss, if you want somthing to do, check out the fictional stories thread within this catagory, if you really like Pat, you will be entertained by them.
Later, Pacino
